It's here! This story is a concept I'm going to be pitching soon that I've been working on for years. It's inspired by my love for skating, experiences in a cloistered all girls high school, bonding with a best friend that is your opposite, and the obsession with flight that Miyazaki cursed me with as a child. I was able to board a section of a RotTMNT script before the episode aired (now released) to practice action storyboarding! Original board was done by the magnificent Alicia Chan.

A lonely mercenary gets sidetracked on her mission up the mountain. I came up with the characters and story solely for this project to practice narrative storyboarding with a more cinematic feel. I wasn't expecting to accidentally make a short film! XD It turned out to be an unexpectedly therapeutic and personal story for me and I loved making it. Part one of an animatic made to brush up on 3D storyboarding skills, fight choreography, and telling an original story. I wanted to try feature style boards with action but with a style that can be both fun (PT 1) and serious (PT 2), such as Pixar films and even Marvel series like Hawkeye. Hello y'all! When I first listened to this episode, I was struck by how much could've been happening 'between the lines' inside Yasha's head as her control was taken from her and how much she must have struggled to fight hurting people she had grown to love. From that thought train this was born! (Also what does the Laughing Hand look like under that cloak?) I love this episode so much and stays, to me, as one of the most dramatic episodes of campaign 2. I hope you enjoy!
